Drs. Brendan Shanahan and Thomas Madigan both enrolled at Life University in the spring of 2012. They did not know each other at the time, but on the third day of class they were assigned to groups of four for an ice breaker activity. As their group of four introduced themselves they quickly realized they grew up just 15 minutes apart. During both of their high school careers, they played competitive sports against each other, hung out in similar areas, and knew similar people, yet they had never met until that day. It was at that moment they became great friends and began studying with each other almost everyday. Two quarters later, they became roommates and the vision of opening a practice and working together to change the way their community viewed health began. It is now their goal to serve and help as many families as possible to achieve Optimal Health through Principled Subluxation-Based chiropractic care.
Dr. Brendan Shanahan was born and raised in Rochester, Michigan. He graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Life University with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Brendan’s interest in the human body began at a very young age, as he was heavily involved in sports and was always drawn to healthcare as a career choice. His interest of the human body continued through high school and into college where he discovered a proactive approach to health through principled chiropractic care. Dr. Brendan grew up with childhood asthma and he took prescription medications to cope with allergies, however at the young age of 12, he found himself questioning the medical model. He knew there was a better way to health and did not believe that taking drugs was the answer. It was through subluxation based, principled chiropractic care that allowed his body to heal from the inside and he ultimately quit using his inhaler and got off all prescription medications. Today he does not have asthma and it was at that point that Dr. Brendan knew he was going to be a chiropractor.
Dr. Brendan participated in a chiropractic mission trip to Jamaica through Spinal Missions serving the masses with complimentary chiropractic care, as mission work has always been a passion of his. Dr. Brendan has also had extensive education in extremity adjusting and numerous hours of education in pediatric and maternal adjusting techniques.
Dr. Thomas Madigan grew up in Lake Orion, MI. From a very young age he was always concerned with helping people, so it was only natural for him to pursue a career in a healthcare field. After graduating from Lake Orion High School he went on to study at Western Michigan University, and graduated with honors with a bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Madigan, from the beginning of his college career wanted to go to dental school, but after a conversation with his uncle he soon realized that he needed a plan B. He looked into chiropractic, and went on a visit to Life University in Marietta, GA. After his visit, and his first taste of chiropractic, he knew that this was the career for him. He enrolled at Life University in spring 2012 and never looked back.
A couple quarters into his career at Life, Dr. Madigan’s father was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. After a year of taking the holistic approach to health with dieting, juicing, exercise and most importantly, chiropractic, his father soon found out that his cancer was in remission. His body was in a state of Optimal Health, and was able to heal on its own from the inside-out the way it was made to do. This is when Dr. Madigan knew for sure that his decision to become a Doctor of Chiropractic was the right one. “The human body is an amazing self-healing and self-regulating machine, and when put in the most optimal environment, an environment free of nerve interference, it can do and achieve anything.”
Dr. Kody Fagin was born and raised in Dallas, TX. His family moved to Lucas where he attended Lovejoy High School. Dr. Kody received his Bachelors of Medical Science at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from Parker University with a Masters of Functional Nutrition and his Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Dr. Kody knew from an early age he wanted to be in healthcare to help as many people as possible. He always had an interest in Sports nutrition and biomechanics of how the body moved and why. After changing in college from Pre-Dentistry he found his calling in Chiropractic. He has a strong connection to the chiropractic philosophy of allowing the body to heal from the inside out.
In Chiropractic school, Dr. Kody participated in Chiro Missions trips to Haiti serving the people with complimentary chiropractic care. After seeing how grateful the people were for this care, he knew he had picked the right profession. He has a passion for helping people reach their full potential in health and will go out of his way to serve them however he can.
Dr. Kody spent the 2 years following graduation in Rochester Hills, MI where he worked at the original Vitality Precision Chiropractic. After 2 years of serving patients and practicing under his mentors, he and his wife decided to move back to their home state of Texas to start the second location of Vitality PC.

Creating the first integrated chiropractic system for the second century of chiropractic.
Technique
At Vitality Precision Chiropractic, we utilize one of the most specific, scientific chiropractic adjusting techniques in the world. Torque Release Technique is the first chiropractic technique of the new millennium and offers people of all ages the most gentle and reproducible adjustment available. Utilizing The Integrator, a torque and recoil release adjusting instrument, combines the best attributes from a variety of existing chiropractic techniques and principles, quantum physics and the body/mind connection. With chiropractic having entered its second century, this up-to-date, functional, scientific, neurologically based model is the best that is available today.
Torque Release Technique is a model that utilizes the multi-factorial approaches pioneered in the following techniques:
Thompson Terminal Point
Van Rumpt, D.N.F.T.
DeJarnette, S.O.T.
Logan Basic
Toftness
Palmer Upper Cervical
Network Chiropractic Spinal Analysis
The Integrator reproduces the entire thrust and movement components of Toggle Recoil at a speed of 1/10,000th of a second. Unlike most instruments available, The Integrator is legally marketed in the U.S. and is successfully FDA approved.
Drs. Brendan and Thomas are two of a couple hundred who have achieved Advanced Proficiency Certification in Torque Release Technique. Torque Release Technique has been proven through research to be the most specific, scientific chiropractic technique in the world.
“Torque Release Technique is based upon what (the founders of chiropractic) Drs. D.D. and B.J. Palmer intended – that we have innate and genetic potential and that the subluxation interferes with this expression. TRT is a tonal technique based on constant never ending improvement.”
